The Challenge

Deinvox, a premium call center service provider in the competitive Swiss market, needed a brand identity that would differentiate them from commodity competitors while communicating their core value proposition instantly. The challenge was creating a logo that's memorable enough to stick in your mind, modern enough to signal innovation, yet clearly indicates the call center industry without resorting to cliché phone or headset imagery. Swiss businesses expect professionalism and quality—the brand needed to convey premium service positioning while remaining approachable and human-centered.

Our Role

We handled all brand design for this project, responsible for the complete visual identity system. We designed the symbol logo, selected and customized the typography, created all brand lockups and variations, developed the visual guidelines, and delivered production-ready assets across all required formats.

The Approach

Our strategy centered on intelligent simplicity: creating a symbol that works on multiple levels through negative space design. The D+V combination needed to feel modern and premium while subtly evoking the call center industry. We focused on clean geometry and smart use of negative space to create visual interest without complexity. The typography selection prioritized premium feel and excellent legibility, with a clever microphone detail in the 'e' that reinforces the communication industry context without being heavy-handed.

Discovery & Research

We began by analyzing the Swiss call center market and identifying Deinvox's competitive landscape. Most call center brands fall into two traps: generic corporate aesthetics that look like every other B2B service, or overly literal imagery (phones, headsets, speech bubbles) that feels dated. Through conversations with Deinvox leadership, we identified that their differentiator is premium, personalized service—they're not a mass-market call center, they're a boutique partner for businesses that value quality. We researched how premium service brands communicate sophistication without losing approachability, and studied geometric logo systems that use negative space effectively. The key insight: the logo needed to be clever enough to make people look twice, but simple enough to remember instantly.

Design & Development

We explored multiple concepts before discovering the D+V negative space solution—the V shape formed by two elements, with the D cleverly integrated into the left wing. This creates visual intrigue while maintaining geometric simplicity. The V subtly evokes communication and voice without being literal, and the overall form has a modern, forward-moving energy. We tested dozens of premium typefaces before selecting one that balances Swiss precision with contemporary warmth. The microphone detail in the 'e' of "deinvox" was a late addition that proved perfect—it's subtle enough that most people won't consciously notice it, but it reinforces the industry context subconsciously. We developed multiple logo lockups (symbol-only, wordmark-only, horizontal, vertical, reversed) to ensure flexibility across business cards, websites, signage, and digital applications. The color palette went through several iterations to find the right balance between professional and approachable, landing on a confident tone that feels premium without being cold.

Final Design

The final brand identity combines the innovative D+V symbol logo with premium typography featuring the clever microphone 'e' detail. The geometric symbol uses negative space to create a memorable mark that subtly evokes the call center industry while remaining modern and sophisticated. The result is a cohesive brand system that positions Deinvox as a premium, innovative call center partner in the Swiss market—memorable, professional, and distinctly different from commodity competitors.

What We Learned

This project reinforced that the best logos work on multiple levels—they're simple enough to remember but clever enough to reward closer inspection. The D+V negative space solution proved that you don't need literal imagery to communicate industry context; smart geometric design can evoke the right associations subconsciously. We learned to resist the urge to over-explain—the microphone 'e' detail is subtle by design, because not every visual element needs to shout its meaning. The biggest challenge was balancing Swiss expectations for precision and professionalism with the need for warmth and approachability in a service brand. If we were starting over, we'd prototype the logo in real-world applications earlier—seeing it on business cards and signage helped refine proportions faster than working purely in design software. This experience shaped our understanding that premium branding isn't about complexity; it's about intelligent simplicity executed flawlessly.
